As I've been touring DA for the passed 7 years it's rare to come across an artist who can take the idea of another and flesh it out to inspire the original artist to greater things.

Louten has done just that. When I first designed Luna Inverse from the original slayers world I was tossing and turning ideas in my head about her personality, what kind of armor to give her, what sort of demeanor I wanted her to portray and I'm happy to have Louten's interpretation of the muddled mess that finally became her final design for the Doujinshi.

From a formal critique standpoint however, there were a couple of things I saw that could be perfected to catapult Louten into one of the greats. For instance, proportions. Her right arm appears to be longer and thicker than her left. Also, her nostril appears to be a little high, if this was her intention to make Luna appear as if she were snarling (something I do often when I portray her) than some facial features need to also follow that same expressive pattern. The cheek might have to be raise; some contour lines for instance could have made that interpret better to the audience.

Other than that, the coloring is amazing. I truly envy this coloring style (truly, I wanna learn) beautiful lines and amazing vision. I'm very, VERY pleased with the way this turned out. I plan on employing Louten in teh future when I begin my original Manga.

The odometers on the belt raise a few eyebrows, but that's what I love about this character design!

This is a wonderful picture! It's so nice to see Luna out of her waitress uniform for a change. And her hair, in Kanzaka-san's novels she is a brunette like Lina, and I see you've used something close to that here instead of the purple she was given in the anime. I think it's better, and more natural somehow. I definitely like it!
